Scottish Nats., Helifest & the 1st F3N comp of the season

June certainly proved to be a VERY busy month. First Dave made the 9 hour drive to Scotland accompanied by good friend Scott Marshall to compete in the Scottish Nationals. As always the welcome was warm and a great weekend was had by all. Align were well represented and Dave and Dani Rose came home with an armful of trophies between them. Dave retained his F3N title & also won the Autospot. Dani came third in the F3N & the Clubmans competitions. Scottish Nationals 2014

The weekend after the Scottish Nats we headed up to Weston Park for the Helifest competition. Another awesome weekend / competition. After a not so great first flight on the Saturday, Dave was putting in a truly awesome flight on the Sunday when his tail clipped the ground & he was down & out. Our youngest, Summer had a few flights herself during the funfly sessions & thoroughly enjoyed herself. Thanks to Grant Cooper & his team for a great weekend. Helifest 2014

Finally on the 29th June we had the first F3N competition of the season at Cuffley MFC. What a jam-packed day that was with 12 pilots flying four rounds dodging showers in order to complete the rounds. Dave came 2nd overall & for the first time ever he beat Duncan Osbourn in one of the rounds (2nd Set Manoeuvres) & was within 4 raw points of Duncan's winning score in the Freestyle round. A great way to finish the month. F3N Cuffley - music round
