Hi Dave
just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for all the help you have given me over the last 3 months with set-ups and flying lessons. I feel i am getting somewhere at last. I took the 550E out today and it is absolutely awesome thanks to the set-up and your recommendations. I flew in a big field with lots of gusty wind, away from the garden (and people) practicing the stuff as per lessons and also doing some full power climbs. Was stable as anything, i couldn't believe it. The Optipower lipos after 9 min's still had 28% power and were barely warm. Again, thanks for all your help! I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for all the help and support the flyinfish team has given me over the last couple of years. It is safe to say that if I would have not found you guys- I would not have taken this hobby forward the way I have. Flyinfish has been there to support me from the very first step in understanding this hobby, choosing and building my model, all the way to learning how to set up my transmitter and finally taking great steps in improving my flying skills. I am still abroad but would like to let you know that I have brought my Trex 500 out here with me. I am now flying fast right hand and left hand circuits with ease, nose in flying feels natural and have been doing massive stall turns in all directions. Needless to say none of this would have been possible without all the help and training I have received from Dave and from Mark- who are excellent teachers! I look forward to coming back and showing you how much I have improved and can't wait to move on to some more advanced 3D manoeuvres. My delight with Flyin Fish keeps growing. I have benefited from First Rate tuition from Mark and Dave who have a very friendly, patient and informative approach. Dave has spent a lot of time working with me to to ensure that my first Heli was the right model for my experience level and budget whilst making sure that I would get long service from it. I am confident in the knowledge that Dave's advice has saved me a lot of money as I will not outgrow this Heli as my piloting skills improve. The quality of both the components and the built are exemplary. Dave's knowledge and passion for RC Helis really shows through in the choice and build of this excellent machine. I wanted to thank you and especially Mark for my truly great 3 hours of flying yesterday. I am so happy that I did this and will certainly be back soon for more. Mark is a wonderful teacher with a true gift for making a nervous student feel at ease and comfortable with the rather daunting experience of flying a full size heli for the first time. His humour and sense of fun along with his excellent and enthusiastic teaching skills made my morning one of the most enjoyable learning experiences ever. I feel so happy with the progress I made with him and will be recommending "Flyin Fish" to friends as a perfect helicopter training program.

Hi Julie, Please tell Dave again that I am very pleased with how yesterday went. At the beginning of the session we had a few rain showers where we packed everything up in the car, yet no time was wasted. We sat in the car going over different settings for the transmitter. He was very knowledgeable and very willing to explain why things need to be set up the way they are rather than just doing the setup in a rush. Dave moved with a purpose and didn't waste time. When he went to the truck to get something, he moved quickly as to not burn up time off the lesson. I am very happy with the way my Trex 700 and Avant Aurora are set up and will continue to do the drills he instructed. My goal is to fly smoothly and be in complete control rather than just responding to what the heli does to prevent a crash. Dave gave me the proper setup and tools necessary to accomplish my goal. Thank you again for your kindness at Weston Park and your help with scheduling a day to fly. I look forward to seeing you both in a month at Weston Park.

Hi Julie, Once again please convey my thanks to Dave for another gruelling, wind-swept, cold day standing in a field in the middle of nowhere trying not to crash 15 kg of inverted lawn mower into myself. Funny thing is I started to enjoy it towards the end! I dont know where Dave gets his patience from, it would drive me mad having to be nice to people like me all day, but I am very glad he does what he does. Hi there, I just wanted to say a huge thanks to Dave for the lesson yesterday. No way did I think I'd be not only on my way to learning circuits, but nose in too! Amazing how getting someone who can teach to get you going can work so fast. Please can I take this opportunity to say thank you for last Monday. I learnt a lot, like you have to use loads of thread lock! Dave has a wealth of experience which he seems to want to help people and not like some companies ..just want your money. Dave is a very pleasant person where I felt at ease to ask questions, and he was only too willing to tell me the answer. I did take my heli out this weekend and I felt more at ease with it and I even managed to remember the info Dave gave me! Im even going to have a go at some proper soldering …the way Dave showed me. Its a massive milestone and I wanted to share my enormous appreciation for FlyinFish, not only are my lessons great fun but I would never have believed I would have got this far so quickly. Sorry to hear Dave has stood from the F3C team after such a long stint, he will be missed as he was one of the greatest ambassadors for the F3c sport, always willing to pass on his knowledge and tips and full of enthusiasm for that level of discipline. I will always be so grateful for the discipline and structure he enforced into me, people look at my flying now and always comment on the discipline and accuracy, and it has always been down to Dave, for which i am truly thankful for.

I’ve just returned from my lesson with Mark. I wanted to express my sincere thanks for the quality of tuition and professionality of your organisation. This has been the most pleasant introduction into any organisation associated with model flight that I have experienced, and with Mark’s very supportive teaching I’ve achieved in less than 2 hours more than I’ve achieved in 6 months of experimentation.
Mark managed to expertly guide me to the limits of my endurance and I was worn just as the time was up. I had a great time and am massively more confident and enthused about my commitment to this hobby.
I feel like I’ve learned a lot, my questions were answered with confidence and authority and I will certainly be coming back for more training soon.

Hi Dave and Julie. Thanks for a very good and educational day. Time at the house was far more informative than i would have thought and was made to feel very relaxed, which led to a few laughs, & as you know i have been flying for over 2 years and the things you tought me about the transmitter and correct set-up of the gyro was without doubt worth your time alone. Time over the field was a bonus, you setup the heli superb and flew it to match. Seeing you fly the heli, i can not blame the heli for poor flying, that will be 100% me. Both you and Julie make people feel like friends rather than students. Thanks for the after care over the phone, if i have taken in a most of what you said, i shouldn't have to bother you agin untill we meet up again. I am passing on the word and sure others will notice what you have done for me in my flying by the summer. Dave you were really patient with my haphazard flying and you have helped me focus on my bad habits which I will improve on.
